“Melem Keezhem”, meaning Above and Below, is the first in a planned series of comic books that attempts to encourage conversations around sensitive topics on the Lakshadweep archipelago.

The comic book follows two protagonists – a fisherman and a butterfly fish, as they explore aspects of Lakshadweep’s history, culture and biodiversity.

Melem Keezhem has been published in English and Malayalam.
