For over two decades, this programme addressed the complex interface between ecology and society in Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu at the scale of conservation landscapes including protected areas, reserved forests, and privately-owned lands. Led by M. D. Madhusudan, it focused on wildlife ecology, human - wildlife interactions, and conservation policy and implementation.
