I am from kumdok village of Leh District (J&K) which is approximately 110 km away from Leh Town. My hamlet is situated in Eastern part of Ladakh near China Border. Eastern part of Ladakh is rich in flora and fauna specially in wildlife.I did my post graduation from Jammu university in political science. Since childhood I was attached to wildlife, as I belong to farmer family. In Rong valley we can witness Snow leopard and other wild animals. I am interested in community based conservation of our beautiful nature. In this regards, I love sharing conversation with elder people of villages and collect beautiful stories about their day to day life, wildlife and historical places. My responsibility at NCF Ladakh is office accountancy along with field sites visit. I enjoy my work in NCF as I think wildlife conservation is essential to regulate wildlife population, help balance the ecosystem, and maintain natural beauty for future generations . I want to become a wildlife photographer in future and want to continue with NCF. Email: sherab@ncf-india.org
