I am an environmental lawyer with a keen interest in facilitating the strengthening of local governance and decision-making structures for effective governance of natural landscapes. I previously worked with communities in Odisha dealing with mining and consequent degradation of their forest habitats. I joined the Oceans and Coasts team initially to analyze the growing reef fisheries industry in Lakshadweep, and will now be working to facilitate multi-stakeholder dialogues in building a community-led sustainable reef fisheries model.
