Research Assistant, Western Ghats

Having grown up in a small tea-estate town in Assam, ‘nature’ caught my interest early in life. My first on-field experience was as an assistant on a Golden langur ethology project in a tropical semi-evergreen habitat along the north of the Brahmaputra River. It was then that I found my true calling and am now pursuing a research career in ecology. My main interests now include plant-animal interactions in rainforests, anti-predator strategies in anurans, and better understanding North-east India’s tropical ecology. I am most myself when in a library or on a wildflower walk.
