Alumnus, Education and Public Engagement
I have been fortunate in being able to try my hands on different fields of work from farming, marketing and voluntary work in the rural development sector over a period of 6 years starting 1988. I realised my calling was conservation of our environment in 1994. Ever since I have been an environment educator sharing my concerns about human civilisation from the environmental perspective.
Engaging young people in understanding our environment and learning to take care of it has been the area of my interest. I have contributed to creation of programmes based on the learning by doing approach both nationally and internationally for school and college students. I am happiest when travelling to forests and mountains with people to make them understand the ways of nature.
