Project Assistant (Education and Outreach) - Education and Public Engagement Programme, Nature Conservation Foundation, Bengaluru, India

We are looking for a person with a Masters Degree in Education, with an interest/experience in conservation/ecology and with at least 1-2 years of work experience in the field.

Preferable Qualifications and Work Experience:

Masters in Education with knowledge, experience in pedagogy and curriculum development;

Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, ability and comfortable with working in teams;

Proficiency in English (writing and speaking), working knowledge of Hindi/Kannada/Tamil

Working within, outside classrooms with teachers/children

Experience in conceptualising and design of education learning material and tools

Interest and knowledge in ecology, wildlife conservation, nature in the Indian context


According to qualifications and experience (in the range of INR 28,000-32,000) for full-time work.


This full-time position is housed at the Nature Conservation Foundation (, North Bengaluru office, with some travel within Bengaluru and across the country when needed. Work and travel will be more intense during school term times.

You will be working closely with Vena Kapoor and Suhel Quader as part of this project.

More details about the position:

You will be part of a small but extremely enthusiastic team in Nature Conservation Foundation’s Education and Public Engagement Programme. This new arm of our work is being supported by Wipro Applying Thought in Schools. With the project head you will do a combination of research, classroom observation sessions, working with teachers to develop place-based nature modules within and outside the classroom, and work with various types of schools and partner organisations. You will be required to help with logistical support for the project, some grant writing, fundraising proposals and documentation, including yearly reports. You will also help with other aspects of the programme like occasional workshops, public engagement events when needed, and help strengthen the team’s capacity in education theory and practice.


3 years, with an initial 4 month probation period and annual work reviews.
